Description

Polyreflex Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO)

refers to a mixed material composed of polyolefin (PP or PE), rubber and certain fillers (talc, carbon fiber, etc.). These are members of the TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) family. 

They generally have good hardness, flexural fatigue, impact resistance and excellent resistance to certain chemicals. TPO is also highly resistant to UV radiation and extremes in temperature, making it ideal for outdoor use. 

Regarding the processing of TPO sheets, they are often used in both injection molding and thermoforming projects.

High Impact Strength

Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) is based on polypropylene and has been modified to provide better ductility and impact resistance, especially at low temperatures.

Excellent Formability

Thermoplastic polyolefin sheet has a relatively low melting point, which means it can be easily melted and thermoformed into different shapes by vacuum forming.

UV Resistance

TPO compounds can be formulated for increased UV weathering resistance when needed, making it an ideal plastic material for outdoor use.

Flame Retardant

TPO for automotive industry must be flame-retardant. Although polyolefin itself is not fire resistance, it can be modified by adding flame retardants.

Easy Processing

Drilling, milling, sawing, laser cutting or CNC engraving all these processes can be carried out easily with TPO sheets.
